Tried this but I ended up returning and getting the Viper Mini when it was on sale for Prime Day. Viper Mini is KILOMETERS better.

This is reminiscent of the $3k carbon mountain bicycle at Costco right now.

Is this a great mouse, and a good deal for the money? Sure. If you're shopping for a lightweight, smaller mouse to fit your grip/hand size, then there's no reason you shouldn't buy this mouse.

But does anyone really need this?

Of course, I should point out that I'm still using a Zalman FPS Gun [gizmodo.com] as my daily driver, so I don't exactly come to this conversation from a position of authority... and if anyone knows of a solid replacement (neutral hand position, smaller size) I'm all ears!

Good luck!
Jon

Really like this mouse, at least when using the included grip tape. Bought one on clearance at Walmart and then went back to get a couple more. I use a full size DeathAdder with my desktop and not sure I'd replace it with a mini. But I use the mini with my laptop and it works great while being more compact.

I got the Viper Mini first and hated it, mainly because the center ring is rough and drags. Maybe it is good otherwise but that makes it completely unusable.

I also picked this up at Walmart for $25. In my opinion just an awesome mouse for FPS, any gaming. Used the viper mini and it just didn't feel good, used the glorious mice and they were good just doesn't make any sense going from $25 to $50+ when I prefer the V2 mini. The grip tape makes this mouse an absolute showstopper, control and feel is incredible. Been my constant since I bought it and I use a ton of mice/keyboards.

Looking for a gaming mouse for a kid, is this "mini" actually any smaller than the regular Deathadder? Or just lighter?

And it's alive again.

This is indeed physically smaller.

Good luck!

You can't setup this mouse without making an account with razer. Apparently "cloud" is necessary to use Razer hardware, what a bs.

Excellent deal. I bought 2 for my family but I'll get another one. This is one of the best mouse EXCEPT software truly sucks. They are completely out of mind. The worst software you can imagine.

lack of braided cable and right placement of the wire is a bit annoying
