Wish the NITS were higher, and it would be nicer at 120hz. I am sure some people will be complaining that it is VA, but that is another price point all together. Curved 34" 1440 for under $300 is a decent deal.

Pretty decent price for the specs. Biggest issue with budget ultrawides is actually quality control/consistency. As long as that's not an issue with this one, i would recommend it if it suits your needs.

Gaming should be fine on these specs unless you're super sensitive to high fps/ghosting, but monitors with these specs are also aimed at productivity as well (screen real estate).

Does anyone know how good is this LG one from Costco? it is available for 250. My main use is for office and youtube videos.

Bought this about 2 years ago and it's been a pretty solid monitor. Only complaints are the stand is severely lacking. Easily solved by putting it on a swivel arm however does not have VESA Mounts and requires an adapter (not included) to do this. Color accuracy is not the greatest but works great for budget rig.

Depends on your needs. The Costco one is only 1080p and not curved but has VESA mounts. It is not marketed as a gaming monitor and is 75 Hz. The MSI has higher resolution as well.

The LG is 300 nits brightness versus 250 for the MSI, but has the following drawbacks:

1. 2560x1080 resolution while the MSI is 3440x1440.
2. The LG is a flat screen, the MSI is curved. This will make a difference to viewing angles and how much side-to-side your head will be doing while watching.

If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the MSI without hesitation. But I'd probably opt for something a little better than both if I could find a good deal.

Since it's curved, viewing angle won't be affected, plus you get the benefits of better contrast.
