Octane score for the N4020 is 16,850 which is rock solid for a Chromer. There's a N4020 in the Lenovo I'm using right now.

There is not a barrel connector, so I would say a definite yes to USB type-C charging.

Really solid deal if you don't mind the lower resolution screens on these 11.6" chromebooks. The N4020 with 4gb is plenty snappy in a chromebook. I've been using these cheap little chromers since 2012 and it's nice to see they're still available for under $150.00. I even have a few of my original C-710 Acers from 2012 that are still going strong and they've only had one battery replacement and stopped getting updates over 3 years ago.

Acers website shows this model as having an IPS screen. Strange that Walmart doesn't list it as a feature. The only negative I've had is the speakers cause some resonance of the shift key at maybe 90% volume and up. I'll admit, it is very annoying. Not sure if others will have the same audio problem

I actually have Chromebooks all over the house and in my truck. I highly recommend them for living on the web.

why on earth get a crappy CB when u cud get the Lenovo W10 Pro 14" for 200 from Microcenter from an earlier deal on SD ??
Gave up on Windows back in 2012 and never looked back. MOST people don't need Windows these days and use Chrome even if they're still using a Windows laptop. I still keep one around but only turn it on a few times a year to take updates.

Acer's website lists both "ComfyView" and IPS as screen options. Does anyone know whether Walmart's version is ComfyView or IPS?

The issue is, when someone needs more than a glorified browser, they then have a useless device. I agree that most people would be happy with a chromebook 95% of the time, but that remaining 5% makes you regret your decision. Because of that id only recommend chromebooks to the elderly and young children, also those two demographics are unlikely to have one of the newest smartphones or tablets which infringe on chromebooks usages. Or in use for educational environments where you only need the kids to access online material like tests.

At $130 this is a good deal, but its not a replacement for a Windows laptop or PC.
