3 stories?
Max standing height is 16.5 feet. How high is a story? 8.25 feet??
And you better have it tied to something.
This is 3 units stacked, with outriggers and guard rails.
Tractor Supply had the basic unit on sale for ~$125 last year and I bought two.
$600 might be a good price for this.

Northen tools regularly puts this scaffold on sale for 179$ per set. The outriggers will cost you another 150$, but you can use there coupons: 10$ off 50$ purchase, 20$ off 100$ purchase or the 50$ off 250$ purchase. Only one coupon per transaction allowed so arrange your purchase to maximize the discount and return (after taking the first purchase to your truck) for additional purchase discount as needed.

If you are using all three sets, I recommend the outriggers; especially if you are not comfortable with heights or use to using scaffolding. Two sets are pretty stable without the outriggers, but you know your comfort level. Each set is considered one story because it assumes the user is at least five foot tall (giving you a minimal working reach of 6-1/2 feet above the platform).

I used 2 each 2x4's and 3@ 3/8" bolts&nuts to cobble together a simple triangular "outrigger".

Have this set in 2 story form. Works well, paid about $5-600 for it a while back. Pretty stable with the outriggers, but just to be safe I added some 2x4s wedged diagonally between the posts (after notching out some U shaped slots to grab the post). If you are working around a structure you can also ratchet strap it to that structure for additional stability.

Just bought the 2-story unit for $600. I figured I could buy the outriggers and another section if I needed the 3-story. Thanks jbloggs!
