When the motor goes bad (happens in all fans esp if you run them for long hours), you contact Vornado via chat, cut the cable with a pair of scissors, send Vornado a picture of the cut cable/serial number.
In 2-4 business days they will ship out a brand new fan of the same exact model and if they dont have it they will upgrade you.
I bought the adjustable square fan from Costco, it had issues with staying in place and eventually the motor made a weird sound. Contacted Vornado, they couldnt replace it with the same model because it was a Costco model only supposedly, so they upgraded me to the size larger than that model for free
