The a6400 is more portable. However, I would choose the A7II.

Well one day it will but the a7ii is still a great camera - especially at this price. It technically has sold for $95 but that was two years ago (not helpful I know)
Was that the Prime Day mix up or was that the A9? If it was, I was mega pissed. I had to go into a meeting. When I came out of the meeting people on the site were talking about how they scooped this up. When I went to try to buy it, it was showing as current unavailable.

For this deal, Focus Camera has the camera for even cheaper and with a lens included for $838 if you're a student. https://slickdeals.net/f/15158122-sony-edu-members-sony-alpha-a7ii-mirrorless-digital-camera-fs-less-with-sd-cashback-838

I tried Sony on a 3 day rental and just not for me. Coming from a Nikon D7000 and D7200, the ergonomics and menu on the Sony are too big of negatives especially with hanging big glass like the 200-600 I use for wildlife. I read complaints that Sony's water proofing/resistance is not as robust as Canon/Nikon. Due to the glass I have now, it's another reason to go Z6 or Z7. There is also a new Zfc that's generating a lot of buzz and they priced it right at $1099. So many excellent choices today!

Try finding a Sony Nex 7. I use it exclusively and love the design. Preferable to even the 6000 series (to me.)
