I have an older version and I've been using it for years. Not sure if they've fixed it in this version, but make sure to open/close the water tank fill cap before and after each use to relieve the tank pressure. On my version if you don't eventually the cap will crack and your tank will leak. They sent me free replacement caps though.
The top rated steam mop scored 5/5 on cleaning, 4/5 on steam rate and 3/5 on convenience (comfort and convenience). The 1940 model in this listing scored 4/4 on cleaning and steam rate and 2/5 on convenience.

Could you safely use this on engineered wood flooring?
I don't have this mop, but I do have engineered hard wood floors and originally looking for a steam mop
You really can't do anything but just a soft roller vaccum (like dyson). Water, chemicals, sealants…pretty much anything is gonna be bad for our floors…
This thing is awesome, especially at this price. I got one a few months ago.
I thought my floors (tile, hardwood, and some laminate) were clean with vacuuming and swiffering, but this is next level. And stupid easy and quick to use.
Just water is needed. I have used the fragrance and liked it too, but definitely not necessary.
"Bissell 1940 PowerFresh Steam Mop
The best overall steam mop is the Bissell 1940 PowerFresh Steam Mop, which is lightweight, easy to fill, and fairly priced" https://www.thespruce.com/best-st...uy-4135598
Apparently, it's not a good idea to use a steam mop on vinyl plank floors, either. The steam can de-laminate the vinyl and release any adhesives. Vinyl flooring? No problem. Vinyl Plank? No.
