I purchased this watch. It is good quality but the face is hard to read being all black. I wish they had the white faced unit for this price. Do NOT remove stickers or tags if you may want to return it.

I got this watch from Ashford a few years ago when it was at this price. It's a great watch. I deployed and it gave me no issues. The altitude indicator is great if you need it. Plus if you work in a secure area it's safe to wear without violating policy.

Question how sturdy is this watch. I never liked using watches until I started with this job I have so now I have to carry a watch since in my job I can't have my cell phone. Is the battery life good? I have a mickey mouse watch and its been amazing sturdy looks like a kiddish watch, but since no one used it I started to use it battery is amazing. What can you speak of this experience not looking for anything fancy just something that gives me the most out of my bucks I do like the look of this watch so I am debating if to buy or not.

I have a similar Suunto watch. The band seemed to not last as long as other watches. The battery is ok/normal but you need to replace it yearly or sooner if you the features often. The watch face is a mineral crystal. It's an "outdoors" watch so it should be fairly durable but I'd place it less durable than a Casio G-Shock.

My preference for watches is a rechargeable battery and scratch resistant face. I use a Garmin watch now with a tempered glass watch face protector (buy a multipack) since I tend to hit my watch frequently against things. I charge it about once a week. My wife charges her Apple Watch daily and that was not acceptable for my use.

Thanks for the input the whole digital watch appeals to me, but charging it so often kind of kills it also at my job they arent allowed (although some do take them), but I am afraid that they are going to ban them after that would be useless. Funny thing using this old Casio and those things are made sturdy owned it for already an year and 6 months and still crazy good battery. I just like the look and the good reviews. I don't use it very extreme, but need something that can resist water at times and just a few bumps if it gets bumped. This Casio has some scratches I am thinking of giving it a try sucks that the straps don't last and the warranty seems 2 years.

They are pretty stout. I have friends who've served and brought them to and back home from the Mideast. Battery can go anywhere from a year to 2 but is readily available and easy to change with a screw off back that can be opened with a quarter. Bands tend to dry out but they make 2 piece Nylon strap adapter kits for like $11 on Amazon. Hope this helps.

Agreed, this one is the all black model. It looks great but is not backlit and was too hard for me to read. I returned and bought the regular/positive lit although costs more. Great watch though.

Thanks for the great advice. I ended up buying it my current toy watch has been great, but makes me look like a kid lol. So I ended up jumping on the watch looks tactical and cool. I just want something a little more sturdy and stylish. Also in my job they are picky with smartwatches (although some have them) they can get in trouble if its enforced. Only reason I need a watch is for work if not my smartphone would do the job. I hope I like it!

I got one for about the same price a year or two ago. It functions well but like others said, it's hard to read due to the lack of contrast which is especially an issue for older folks.
