This a decent set? I've been wanting something like this but for the set and a bunch of bits $50 is pretty much my ceiling. I keep reading recommendations that are like $50 for the racheting screwdriver part itself, and then bits are more from there. I figure there *has* to be something pretty good for a lot less than that. Those seem like they're "I'm a contractor and use this every single day" quality...

I take it that means this ain't the one? Any suggestions what I should look at?

Typically made in Taiwan is a positive versus "made in China". YMMV. I have this particular tool and it is great to keep in glove box, junk drawer as a quick multi-function tool for assembling kids toys, small items etc. I would pick up another one at this price. It is never going to equal some higher quality tools but for the everyday homeowner this is a great pick-up if you always find yourself saying "where's the screwdriver".

If you wanted a small step up in quality I would recommend one of the Milwaukee screwdriver. Great weight and feel to them.

There's a cheaper Stanley one on Amzn, if you want something smaller (I have the bigger one and its been great for 3-4 years now).

also a NoCry stubby one for a few $ more like $14 that's highly rated on Amazon.

However, this has 16 bit types so I'm ordering for local pickup, great to have in the house.
