Most of the time it's pretty fun. I've been in some rooms where it's just a bunch of stupid kids admitting they're the one and ruining the whole point of the game, so YMMV.

I played a while back on the free phone version. Kids ruined the experience really fast and you'll get lobbies where a friends will pair up. One of the friends is the killer, the other friend knows but will purposely throw the team off to help the friend that's a killer.

It got really stupid fast.

+1. Six months to a year ago the game was fun and the kid trolling was manageable, it's just too much now. And the publisher added other game "enhancements" about a month ago that made it unnecessarily more complicated. Great game while it lasted, I really enjoyed it and it was sad to have to delete it.

If this is anything like the phone version, you'll probably disconnect more often... also, just on the subject of connectivity... even on my Switch, I found that connectivity seemed better somehow for Animal Crossing on 5Ghz wifi as opposed to 2.4Ghz. I'd agree that the game probably lost the crowd fad appeal though. I don't know any of my friend groups that still play it

edit: Apparently this needs some clarification. The phone thing wasn't my own experience, it was that of a friend. Once he had the steam version, he didn't disconnect anymore.

You are disconnection issues have nothing to do with the game. Your router is bad.
