If you like JRPGs, grab this right now. I think I paid $40 for this several months ago, and it honestly would've been worth full price. I seriously hope they make a sequel to this. This is by far the best Yakuza game. It's one of my all-time favorite RPGs now.

It's turn-based. It's so much better than the boring button mashing, beat-em-up games of the series. There's actual strategy involved in this game.

You should have stuck with it. I'm playing it on game pass right now and completely agree, the first 3 hours are rough. But then it just busts loose. Within the next hour you have a party of 4 and are following a fun main plot, with a ton of wacky side-stories around the city.

Definitely a not worth it game. Can also get this in gamepass, download it, play it for 30 minutes, then delete it.

Yeah that's what I'm seeing - the game itself has a gold steel book and cardboard sleeve, and the separate steel book is maroonish. Kinda cool.

But there's also a regular blu-ray case version too, that isn't the day ichi edition.

I want to say I had around 100 hours on it by the time I beat it (I could be a little off on that), but I didn't want it to end. I have 1 or 2 trophies to go, before I get platinum. At the point I'm at though, it's nothing but grinding that I have to do to level up about 50 more times; no exaggeration. So, I haven't played it in several months. I've been telling myself to just do an hour a day, when I'm around, which is almost equal to a level a day. I would've had those trophies by now if I would've been doing that. Such a great game though.

Wow. So you just don't give games a chance then… This game is phenomenal and no one should listen to you. You can't bail after just 30 minutes on a game that builds up, and then say it sucks. That goes for so many things.
