Bought one a couple weeks ago when it was 140. I challenge anyone to find a phone of this quality for this price brand new. One of the commenters said it was slow. I disagree, it's running Android 11, and doesn't seem to be any slower than my Galaxy S10. For the person wanting to get back into Android phones, this is the perfect opportunity to get a flagship from a couple generations ago for cheap. Bummer that there is no headphone jack, and the top and bottom bezel are larger than the newer model phones, but that leaves good amount of space for the stereo speakers on top and bottom, they are better than any other phone I've ever had. Again, I want to point out that this is running Android 11, and even though it is not being updated any further, it's amazing to get Android 11 for this price.

real reason: to allow better waterproofing
Not sure about this cuz there are plenty of waterproof phones out there with headphone jacks. I would think that making a charging port waterproof is even more difficult.

$90 or $150 only if this phone had the two LTE bands I want. This phone won't be slow in my hands. I'm specialized in dealing with old phones. I have no problem with old phones as old as Android 4. If you know how to use it, Android 4 with 2gb RAM is fine. If not, Android 11 and 8GB RAM is not enough for you.
Your comment grabbed my attention and I am all for using old phones with less ram too without compromising on the app I need. I usually disable all the animation and transition in developer options to make the phones snappier. what else do you do to ensure the phone doesn't get bogged down due to lesser ram? Interested to know

Sometimes launchers are better. I really like Lawnchair as you can get custom icons with stock pixel feel. Nova launcher is pretty good too. I usually would say disable apps, but this phone has no bloat ware.

So the Woot deal from 2 weeks ago is back except now they're saying "brand new". Last time, they were advertising these as reconditioned, but when I got mine it was brand new and the battery health was at 100%.
I got one exactly the same way, a Pixel 2XL a month ago from Woot that ended up being brand new with a new battery, loaded with Android 8 and OTA upgradable to Oct 2020 Android 11 security patch. It's unlocked and running Pixel Experience ROM with the July 2021 security update now. However, there's no way that I know of to tell if this is the same vendor you or I had (and thus if they're new /bootloader unlockable) as many different vendors sell through Woot.

I didn't disable animation and the likes. No need to. I run one app at a time. Make sure there is nothing running behind the scene.

Didn't know about the Pixel Experience ROM. I was content on using it without security updates and just keep the apps updated, but will look into it. The bootloader is unlocked and it came in a sealed Google box with a 3rd party slow charger and cable thrown in. The camera app has crashed once and it turns out to be a known mystery issue for many lately. Not a big deal at this price.

Doesn't matter. Non "a" pixels have horrible battery life.

I mean, the scratch and dent one is only $85 and if the bootloader is unlocked you can install another OS and continue to receive updates that way.
And deal with a buggy unreliable phone.

All the fancy phones ditched it because they could make more selling wireless headphones
That is not true, they did it to make space for better batteries!

What's with all the Pixel 2 and 3 deals recently? Is there some large warehouse with excess inventory somewhere? I loved my Pixel 3 but at this points that's a 3 year old phone

I love seeing the same comments every post how this doesn't have update. Really? At $135 there really is not a lot of competition, especially if you are on Verizon. Best part, most people just need a basic phone for social media and a decent camera. This will rock both categories. No one is expecting this to beat a flagship, but this is either a good backup phone or a good phone for those rocking older phones.
agree, Fully Unlocked and Pixel perks are nice. I just activated my refurb 3a XL on VZW in minutes. Said Band 66 out here on the edge of civilization. I think that's just a newer 4G LTE and it's pretty fast.
Enjoying the tight google photo integration, definitely better than manual Google Drive uploads.. Phone still has plenty of storage.
It took a lot downloads to get it to Android 11
