Bought one a couple weeks ago when it was 140. I challenge anyone to find a phone of this quality for this price brand new. One of the commenters said it was slow. I disagree, it's running Android 11, and doesn't seem to be any slower than my Galaxy S10. For the person wanting to get back into Android phones, this is the perfect opportunity to get a flagship from a couple generations ago for cheap. Bummer that there is no headphone jack, and the top and bottom bezel are larger than the newer model phones, but that leaves good amount of space for the stereo speakers on top and bottom, they are better than any other phone I've ever had. Again, I want to point out that this is running Android 11, and even though it is not being updated any further, it's amazing to get Android 11 for this price.
Youre gonna be downgrading if you're swapping to this

I'm still rocking my Pixel 2XL 128 I got on eBay "mint" back in October 2018. The seller had a video shredding off the screen protector and that was it - other than a take-it-or-leave-it attitude. So I bought it and it's still holding over a day of charge. I never did put a screen protector on it - it's now wearing a leather case which is flaying apart - I've dropped the phone many times, onto tile, wood, gravel, concrete/asphalt ... and when I polish the screen, there's not a mark to be found - perhaps if I had a magnifying glass etc ...

No burn in either except maybe the littl icons on the top but that's OK.

I'd skip the screen protector. Isn't needed.

What a good deal. I'm on the fence, myself - just for backup. If the 3XL from BH came back I'd buy that one instead, however.

You can get everything you had on your Pixel in addition to build quality, speed, and mute switch on a OnePlus. Still base Android. The 7T thru newest 9 also add on 65W warp charge compared to whatever Apple is using, I believe around 20W.
Thanks for the reply. I love the discussion. Sorry for derailing the thread further:

Respectfully though, I also have a OnePlus 7T and it has other/bigger tradeoffs (for me at least) that I find myself using the Pixel 4a5G more. The 7T is better built, faster, has a beautiful blue color, 90hz screen, better mute switch than iPhone, and I enjoy the multiple lenses.

But the quality of the photos, even with the 7T using the gcam port, is noticably better on the Pixel, especially for the ultra-wide lens (something this sale phone nor the Xr have, admittedly). And the photo quality is best the top of my list with two young kiddos. Call screening, better battery life, unlimited photo backup ("high resolution" compressed version), and sightly more reliable rear FP reader, are others that come to mind. To be fair, I keep waiting to move my main sim back, but quickly miss the Pixel.

Definitely feels like the Pixel is more like a well equiped Toyota or Subaru relative to the OnePlus's fancy sports car. I'll take the efficiency, comfort, and 'safety' (not 1:1 in this analogy) over the raw power.

I was rocking the Moto G3 play for about 3 years before getting this. Very nice phone. Battery life is great. Very snappy. Only thing I liked more on the Moto was the fingerprint scanner on the right side and the gestures for flashlight and camera. The flashlight especially. I find myself chopping and wondering why the damn flashlight isn't turning on.

The only reason I don't buy this phone is it doesn't have the two LTE bands that I want. Otherwise, I already bought it when it was $140.
Which network requires the 2 missing LTE bands?

I believe it's T-Mobile. Having Band 71 didn't help my last T-Mobile experiment at all. I'm hoping things get better with them soon cuz I'd love to have 3 choices when it comes to cell service.

Yeah my wife has a Pixel 3A that we'll probably upgrade once 6 comes out. I use a 7T so she takes more pictures of the kids. I agree with your analogy though. Last phone was a Moto Z3 so OnePlus was a huge upgrade and was adamant I would not buy Samsung or worse switch to Apple. Just feel like when they get to dominate we have to accept whatever they decide to make. Ironically, we have a Highlander and a Tacoma.

This is a great phone. I drove the pixel 2 (non xl) around for well over 2 years until the batter finally died. So I got my daughter the $140 B&H deal (same deal) a few days ago. So there won't be any updates on this phone. So what? It's hardware & software are fantastic, and will be good for at least 2 more years as it's currently on the latest Android 11. Brand new battery, which should be a priority when looking at older phones. Waterproof. Gorilla glass 5. Flagship. For this price you won't find a better deal.

Order was on 7/20 (Ordered right before midnight on 7/19 & order confirmation came 7/20).

UPS Out for delivery today 7/24 by 7PM.

Their estimate was for 7/28 - 8/1 so I was also worried they would take the "10 business days" but I guess at least in my case they are underpromising / overdelivering.

edit: my phone arrived 30 seconds after i hit the post button Smilie

Best of luck if you ordered one.
How is the condition? Brand new as advertised? I'm debating between this and the LG V40.

No argument from me. Bought the B&H one for my daughter as well. My comments were in response to his switching to an iPhone and saying there were some things it had that his Pixel hadn't like a mute switch. Specs on this Pixel are excellent especially for it's age, makes buying a newer version almost pointless as they haven't added much to newer pixels to keep them flagship.

I ordered a pixel from this thread (should arrive in a few days) but might also be interested in a LG V40... assuming they are brand new and in the same price range. Do you have a sales link you can share?

Oh I get it. I'm also on a 2019 OnePlus 7T from the B&H november deal. Fantastic phone as well, but @ $330. I'd love to be able to alternate the Pixel 2xl and the 7t every day to get an idea of the real world differences.

I'm about to go full overboard with LinageOS on the 7T, no Google. I've already dropped using the google apps in place of open source alternatives.

Oh, and my wife says she doesn't believe me when I say I forgot to put my mute switch from ring to silent Frown(

I say without knowing anything else, go with the Pixel for stock android experience. LG is not making phones anymore. And, if you care about photography Wink

The B&H recent deal that I got was brand new, sealed in box. I would assume the same if they advertise as new condition.

You got lucky I guess with the shipping. I ordered on 19th and mine hasnt even been shipped yet. Still says preparing for shipping. If I may ask which one did you order, the black or the black and white?

Thanks, I'm leaning towards the pixel 2xl since camera quality is important to me along with screen size and quality.
