I returned two Bestway havana hot tubs (basically same as this) last year cuz the top part got all swollen and bumpy after being in the sun for a few days. The top white material is very thin. Think "float" material. I posted a video on YouTube and had several people say they had a similar experience. I replaced it with an 85" intex hot tub. Much thicker material. No issues after a year.

Also bought this when it was $185, I honestly wouldn't have paid a dollar more. It's fun but gets dirty easy, filters are hard to clean and new ones are expensive. It also had a stupid 3 day timer, so if no one touches it, the entire thing shuts down. Overall more hassle than its worth, def not worth it at $300 or more imo

I agree that the tub is high maintenance sometimes to clean. But I have thoroughly enjoyed my Saluspa (which I bought at the aforementioned price point).Putting it together was a bitch, but YouTube videos helped. My twist is that I put it in my former basement laundry room, purchased an electric water pump, got enzyme cleaners for the filters and have plenty of Bromide tablets on hand. If I can, I go for a short soak before starting my day in my adjacent home office. Makes a huge difference.

I disagree these hot tubs are "high maintenance". No one said they didn't require some maintenance. You don't have to buy new filters. I've been using the same filters for a year. Inspect them once a week or so depending on how much you use the tub. If they're dirty, wash them with a strong stream of water from your outdoor hose. Takes about 10 minutes. Every 6 months soak them in a little bleach water for a few minutes and then rinse.
If you keep the bromine or chlorine levels right, the filters will have an easier life.
