I love my purebase 500. All the SSD mounts are good, the cable management is superb (using a non modular power supply) and I'm impressed with the room in there. Running 3 140mm fans up front (tin snips to free up some room at the top of the front fan mounts makes this possible) a 120mm aio on the rear for my 1080, and the arctic freezer II 240 on the top for the cpu. No RGB, no clear windows, and instead has sound dampening on the case sides.

An excellent case at $75, even better deal on promo if you're looking for this specific configuration.

Is Newegg terrible? Maybe. I bought mine from them and had no issue with it, but YMMV.

I got the 601 a few months back. Been very happy with it. Switched from an old Lian Li tower that just so ridiculously loud. Be Quiet! is true to it's name.

Just my opinion and observation so clearly anecdotal. Newegg went downhill right around the time they invited investment companies to have majority stake.

Their rebates, however, have always been a pain but I never didn't get one. I just would avoid the deals with them because you don't get them until their financial quarter is over so the manufacturer doesn't have to claim it as a loss.
