I love my purebase 500. All the SSD mounts are good, the cable management is superb (using a non modular power supply) and I'm impressed with the room in there. Running 3 140mm fans up front (tin snips to free up some room at the top of the front fan mounts makes this possible) a 120mm aio on the rear for my 1080, and the arctic freezer II 240 on the top for the cpu. No RGB, no clear windows, and instead has sound dampening on the case sides.

An excellent case at $75, even better deal on promo if you're looking for this specific configuration.

Is Newegg terrible? Maybe. I bought mine from them and had no issue with it, but YMMV.

Darkbase 700 is awesome. Invertable and very high quality case (built like a tank). More of a full tower than mid but just the right size IMHO. You can fit a ton of HDDs and SSDs inside.

Edit: Ooh, just noticed the Darkbase 900 has 2 front 5.25" bays. I could use them for the blu-ray and DVD burners from my old rig... Hrmm...

Can't speak specifically to this case, but I have a Pure Base 500DX and its great. Love the brand, the build, and features.

They are definitely worth a look, IMO

I just got the 500dx and I am VERY happy with it. I doubt I'll leave the lights on once the new wears off but even as an rgb hater the lighting is pretty subdued and tasteful.

Ssd mounting and cable management are light years ahead of my last case. Keeps things cool and its very quiet indeed

Agreed, i have the Pure Base 600 and I already bought the 500DX because of the better airflow. There is a lot of to love about my Pure Base 600 which is very similar to the 500 but in the end both of them have restricted airflow from the front. The air only goes through the thin slits on on the sides of the front. I ended up buying a fan and pulling air in from the top of the case to help my CPU but my GPU is still underserved thus I bought the 500DX.

The one thing I will miss from the Pure Bass 600 is being able to remove the PSU shroud. I have no fear of seeing my PSU but i cannot remove it from the 500DX.

Don't forget things like they used to sell all kinds of pc part bundles and now they don't. That's the one I hate the most. actually no,, it's them charging scalper prices for stuff, and the stupid newegg shuffle. which only gives you 2hrs to buy if you are selected! But I've been using them for years and they are def getting more and more terrible, its the next tiger direct

It's like someone said earlier with the public listing pressure as well as PE, they need to make some kind of increased margin in a sector that has razor thing margins.
