Yes you can use it in a tiny house, but the question is do you need it? How many devices do you have that are wired? if you have a lot then you could benefit from this.

Have this switch and it's been working like a champ for a few years now. Will be changing over to NETGEAR 48-Port Gigabit Ethernet Smart Managed Pro Switch (GS748T) as I was able to pick it up for $48.00.

I would stick to 2 or more if size and location is important.

Chain vs no chain, speed is about the same.
