OT: This is a great deal. Been looking at wheel stands and most barely go on sale, especially since Covid. Theres some on ebay more pricey than this and way more janky.
This should hold most it's value if you decide to sell in the future also. Great deal, in for 1.
Looking to upgrade to the new Fanatec CSL Elite DD Wheel, with a SHH Shifter, and a VR headset and you'll have a pretty sick rig, for not too much either.

I do want to feel stable though. Is that something that can't be achieved with the Challenge?

Depends on your rig, if you got strong pedals or wheel base, than yes you would want the F GT lite. You can lift your seats on the challenge easier due to the back not being braced like the f gt lite.
Only thing that this has an MRSP of 249 on Nextlevels website, not 299.

Foldable is the selling point.
A couple years ago I had to dispose of a full size steel bar cockpit because it's taking too much space with little use, I had to take it apart and with bars going out of the trash can.
I then replaced that will a foldable wheel and pedals stand (no seat, just use the couch) from Next Level Racing, I love that. Just fold and put it aside when I don't use it.

The Playseat Challenge is waaay more compact and convenient to setup and fold up. Unless you need the extra sturdiness ans size due to some really top of the line and strong wheels with strong motors you will regret it.
All this is applicable if you are going to us me it in the way it is intent Def which is a mobile platform you can stash somewhere when not in use. If you have a huge house and garage with a permanent setup then obviously ignore and get a fixed platform.
