This is a great deal for those that are already using Dasaquin.

As someone that has been in the animal health industry since 2007, I would like to offer a different product for consideration. I do not have ANY affiliation with this product, just extensive personal experience with both products.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008KHL...TMX039AP4Z

The Synovi G4 offers a better "blend" that addresses more things that tend to occur within the joint and surrounding tissue than the Dasaquin.
Inflammation, free-radicals, synovial fluid production.

In all fairness, there is another Dasaquin product that is almost as comparable (primarily missing the Creatine Monohydrate which supports muscle tissue that tends to waste on older dogs) to the Synovi G4. It called Dasaquin Advanced and it is WAY more expensive than the Synovi G4 and at least 2x the price of this Dasaquin.

Again, my experience is with both products and got incredible feedback from pet owners that were using the Synovi G4, many of which had been using Dasaquin prior.

My ONLY motivation to make this post is help people pick the best product for their pet and save the human some $$$ in the process.

Yeah, not sure why no love either. This is the lowest in years. My senior dog needs two chews every day so we stocked up.

My vet suggested this brand, and my research supported her recommendation. I'm attempting to stave off problems in a dog with a malformed hip socket.

Does more equal better as far as the weight of the dog goes; is it safe for a 40lb dog to have equivalent of a 60lb dog?
My dog also gets Adoquin injections monthly.

Both are made by the same company, Nutramax, and both are excellent products. The difference is that Dasuquin includes "Avocado and Soybean Unsaphonifiables" (ASU), which is more effective at repairing joints. If your dog isn't suffering from severe joint issues, arthritis, or hip dysplasia, it's likely overkill.

I personally go for the Dasuquin since our dog has already had major knee surgery once, and I want to do anything I can to prolong her joint health, but even then I'm sure Cosequin would also get the job done.

Good product from a good company. If your dog needs help with mild arthritis I find most of my patients benefit from this.

I noticed that the bag makes 0 claims this stuff works for anything. That said, sounds like a lot of marketing with zero evidence of efficacy... esp at these prices.

This is an amazing price. Normally $80 though is on sale once in a while I believe this is the best price I've seen. This is supposed to be the best and we've had our dog on it since surgery for a luxating patella.
