I need two raised platforms for some smaller studio monitors (speakers). So along with this stand gonna grab a couple of IKEA cutting boards and screw them into each side... then turn the axis so I basically end up with two floating platforms. This is a quick, cheap and easy solution to free up some space off my desk! Thanks OP!
