It's going on now and ends July 31st. .I just did it yesterday. I just Googled free sams club membership and you pay $45 but get a $45 gift card at the store when you get your card. Otherwise Groupon was running a deal a couple days ago where it was$20 with afree $20 gift card plus free croissants and a rotisserie chicken

My nearest ssms club is 2 hrs, so I cannot visit frequently. I can sign up for the $45 gift card back deal, I can visit first time to the physical cards maybe. But then my question can I use for online purchases only, is it worth it? do they charge shipping for item?

not worth if for online purchase. their shipping is a ripoff. yes. they do charge for shipping and its not cheap.


call before driving there. i got there twice but they ran out of the cards. so no id issued.

U would need a deal for plus membership which includes free shipping but still a bummer to not have store locally. Some of best deals I get r in store & running into specials & clearance. Have found serious deals online too thx ro slickdeals but majority of stuff I buy in store which is a whopping 5-6 min away.

Best part about sams club is convince. You can't beat scan and go. I also love Costco but waiting in those huge lines to check out is a kill. With sams you scan and pay on the app and walk right out. Honestly there are some but not much difference between the 2 retailers.

I'm not aware of any deals on the Plus membership. It is very easy to sign up. Fill in the form and you're granted a membership right away, regardless of whether or not your information is tied to another account. However, be aware that the gift card that you receive from this offer is emailed to you and can take up to 4 weeks to arrive

Honestly the gas lines are always so long on both i feel like i'd waste too much time vs the savings on the gas. However, Scan and go is such a time saver, hands down. Things cost about the same as costco but seriously all retailers should have the scan and go app. I'm in and out so much faster, I might start going to sams instead of walmart even for smaller items, not everything is in bulk. I just grab the item, scan, and im out its amazing.

It is really like comparing Lowes and HD. Sams seems less crowded, has the same stuff mostly, about the same prices and services. Lines are much shorter, and no lines when you use the scan and go app.

It's not nonsense, membership fees is one of their biggest money-makers as the majority of members that join auto-renew (they made $2B last year from membership fees). No company is going to throw away $2B just for the sake of it.
