Heads up: This is extremely YMMV.

Just stumbled on these 11FT umbrellas on clearance at our local Home Depot (30742). I was actually waiting for these to go on sale as this one is higher rated than the one at Lowe's.

There were dozens with wildly varying prices, starting at $249, for models with MSRP's ranging from $499 to $649.

I scored one for $249 (see photo). It lists the MSRP as $649, though I think it was actually $499. Still, 50% off is a slick deal in my book Wink

Comes with an umbrella base, but you'll have to fill it up with 220lbs of sand yourself.

Hope this helps!

Honestly, $249 is plenty for this.

Also, there seems to be a distinct lack of color green in any of the Umbrellas.

Apparently 4,934 people did. I doubt any of them have even heard of Slickdeals.

$250 is a good price for something this large. I doubt you'll ever find cheaper.

In general not a bad price. 50% off isn't that great for a seasonal item, however. I may wait a while to see if it is still available when it drops further.

Sure you could. I got one for 40 bucks from Amazon Warehouse. It's a knock-off, and I'm not saying it's of comparable quality (I don't know), but it's been fine in my yard for a few months, and has been through several thunderstorms.

For this price, especially full retail, I'd like to see a Sunbrella canopy. Or at least an acrylic-fiber Sunbrella knockoff.

Anyone have any tips on acquiring 220 pounds of play sand? I've got access to a minivan, but not necessarily a truck.

Good luck!

Any idea how long we should watch this for the next jump down? I have some stores indicating quantities and "clearance price" but without dollar values.

Good luck!

You can put that much sand in the back of your minivan. Go to Lowes or Home Depot. They sell 50-pound sacks of play sand for about $4 each. It's in the concrete section.

Just FYI....Wayfair has 10ft cantilever umbrella with lights on it for around $150 and if it is your first time order, you can get a 10% off discount.

I'm not recommending this method, or this umbrella, but it's just six bags. I've carried that much on a tarp in the trunk of my Volvo. Also, can you just fill the base with water instead?

My favorite way of putting in an umbrella is to drive a rod into the ground and staking the umbrella on it, but I don't know if it would work for this one.

I was wondering if the local mulch place would offer an ever better price for sand(?) or is Home Depot offering play sand as a loss leader?

Good luck!
Jon
