Yeah, but Sams $1.50 hot dog and soda combo uses Nathan's dogs—a real dealbreaker.
Seriously, I mostly agree with you, but have noticed better pricing on car tires and batteries…

I just wanted to add, I think almost everyone is pretty familiar with both Costco and Sam's Club. And since Costco ain't giving out free memberships, I don't see why Costco would be part of the discussion about this deal for a free Sam's membership.

Edit: also going to point out that you can almost always get a better deal than either of these warehouse clubs just by shopping around a bit at places that don't charge for a membership. There are some limited exceptions, but since people are giving their .02 on the relative merits of club stores. This deal is good because it is free.

If you use a Gmail account for your email you can add a dot anywhere in the first part of your name and it will go to your existing email as it is ignored by Gmail but will seem to be a new email for Sam's. For example [email protected] or [email protected] or [email protected] all go to [email protected]

Costco charges for shipping on most items, they just build the cost into the listed price. That's why many online items say "item may be available in your local warehouse for a lower, non-delivered price".
