This is the same as having two 27in monitors side by side .. so it does give you the option of treating it as two monitor or one big one for things like programming.

It really is great as a work / productivity monitor as well as a bit of a bonus for gaming.

I have the 43inch version of this monitor, and it has been an absolute game changer in terms of productivity and gaming. I work tech support, and having all that horizontal real estate really helps with multitasking/ keeping an eye on multiple things at once. Gaming wise unless you're running a legit supercomputer or running older titles you'll probably have to settle for less than 120 FPS, but it's amazingly immersive regardless. I put Apex on very low settings and get around 60 FPS and it's super fun.
I've been eyeing this monitor for awhile, but honestly the 43 Inch has been so nice I may have found my personal sweet spot. I would highly recommend super ultrawides like this though!

You do you. You're forgetting returning anything to Amazon is super simple. If it comes with dead pixels or whatever, just send it back.

Warranty registration is all linked to the serial number. I had to RMA a Evo SSD a few months ago and they just used the manufacture date to determine my eligibility.

If I can save myself almost 50% to take a small risk then sure I'll do it. No one is forcing you to.

Also just a heads up the 240hz version is 1300 dollars in the warehouse. If it's ever available with the 20 percent off deal, I would take that gamble buying used.
A lot of people return this item as it is so huge. When I bought mine "used" it was still brand new. Was only open box and I got a huge discount on it at the time (two years ago)

Why would one get a monitor this large over something like a 48C1?
I have a 43" monitor. Looking across the screen from side to side I have to change my focus a lot and it causes me a lot of eye fatique. Because of this I put my main work in the center and delegate things like chat to the sides (using MSFT PowerToys Fancy Zones)

This is technically "wider" than my 43" (which is a 16:9), but it's curved so you don't have to change your focus as much. Honestly though, I hear that 1000R is best for this use, but this one is only 1800R (If I'm not mistaken).

Anywho...my point is that bigger flat screen 2' from your face is not necessarily the best thing. Maybe if you are gaming and only really trying to focue on the center of the screen and just want the rest for an immersive experience than it woudl be ok.

Curves on TVs back in the day were a gimmick, but they have real world benefits as a monitor.

Would be cool to have something like this... but I have to say, it's not cool watching someone stream a game using this resolution. It's almost unwatchable as a spectator - considering how stretched, how small, and how much black space on top and bottom there is. I almost bought a refurb of this from ebay, forget if it was 120 or 240hz... but decided to opt for a refurb acer 1440p 27in for $200 instead.

I'm looking for a nice powerful monitor that would double nice as a 4K TV. It will be nice if the PS5 would be able to connect to it and maximize it's benefits. Something that would also be good for video editing and watching videos online. I'lol be using the monitor to do research online. I definitely want something 32inches and larger. Anything I can get that would be similar to this? Thanks in advance and will gladly rep you.

I bought this used from Amazon Warehouse for 824 back in march, I love this monitor, and I also have the Gigabyte G34WQC over it.......the screen real estate is great and I love not having that bezel separation of monitors side by side. I highly recommend this monitor. Also my monitor that arrived from the warehouse came brand new

I have a 49" 32:9 and LOVE it for work and gaming. It's the same as having 2 27"s side by side, without bezels. Its the future.

I use it for work. Much better than 2 monitors side by side. No bezel in the middle.

Im sorry but no. If im buying 1000$ monitor then im buying it new so that the warranty is good and last for a few years. Buying expensive eletronics used on amazon is just a bad idea itself. Also if your going to tell me to buy the extended warranty then i might as well just buy it new anyways.
You have obviously never claimed a warranty with Samsung. Samsung will do just about anything not to honor it, new or used, theres a high chance you end up with a paper weight regardless of warranty.

Ummm, so don't buy it for someone that you intend on watching? Are we running out of things to complain about? Even if I was broadcasting myself on something like twitch, isn't my first priority something to help me game better?

It's worth knowing, since if you care at all about streaming, it's going to look bad for most people. I couldn't justify the price for what it was. Decided if I was going to spend this much or a bit more, I'd probably go for an OLED flat screen TV instead. Different priorities, really.
