This is the same as having two 27in monitors side by side .. so it does give you the option of treating it as two monitor or one big one for things like programming.

It really is great as a work / productivity monitor as well as a bit of a bonus for gaming.

I have the 43inch version of this monitor, and it has been an absolute game changer in terms of productivity and gaming. I work tech support, and having all that horizontal real estate really helps with multitasking/ keeping an eye on multiple things at once. Gaming wise unless you're running a legit supercomputer or running older titles you'll probably have to settle for less than 120 FPS, but it's amazingly immersive regardless. I put Apex on very low settings and get around 60 FPS and it's super fun.
I've been eyeing this monitor for awhile, but honestly the 43 Inch has been so nice I may have found my personal sweet spot. I would highly recommend super ultrawides like this though!

You do you. You're forgetting returning anything to Amazon is super simple. If it comes with dead pixels or whatever, just send it back.

Warranty registration is all linked to the serial number. I had to RMA a Evo SSD a few months ago and they just used the manufacture date to determine my eligibility.

If I can save myself almost 50% to take a small risk then sure I'll do it. No one is forcing you to.

Would be cool to have something like this... but I have to say, it's not cool watching someone stream a game using this resolution. It's almost unwatchable as a spectator - considering how stretched, how small, and how much black space on top and bottom there is. I almost bought a refurb of this from ebay, forget if it was 120 or 240hz... but decided to opt for a refurb acer 1440p 27in for $200 instead.
I have this monitor and can say that if you were seeing any of those things, they did not have the monitor and game setup properly.

A lot of people return this item as it is so huge. When I bought mine "used" it was still brand new. Was only open box and I got a huge discount on it at the time (two years ago)
Nice good to know, thanks!

How does this do paired with a 3070 for gaming? Don't need to push 120hz but 60+ in most games is needed.

Why not buy a 43 inch 4K monitor? If you have vertical desk space it's better in terms of real estate per dollar.

Some people want the ultra wide display for gaming.
Some also want a 49 ultrawide because it is exactly 2 16:9 displays stuck together.

If there was a model that had the same resolution and size, but for cheaper, it would be the slickdeal instead of this…

4k users beware: 1440p is a big step down. I had this monitor for a week and returned it. Going from 4k to 1440p is like putting on a dirty pair of readers. It was just something I couldn't get over personally. YMMV.

My 2080 super pushes my CRG9 fantastically.

I highly recommend not buying any monitors used/refurb unless you are physically there to test it out before buying. "Professional inspection" is nothing. I had a few bad experiences and never again.
I purchased my CRG9 February 25, 2020 from amazon warehouse used and it came in perfect condition and has worked flawlessly since. I actually paid the exact amount as this deal.

Have it and love it. Prior to this I had a 43 inch 4K Acer monitor. This is better because it's not as high vertically and feels more natural (like 2x 27 inch monitors but better)

You bring up 120fps out of the blue. Just want to make sure you are not confusing this monitor's 120Hz refresh rate with 120 FPS

I'm aware of how Hz works yes, haha. I mean it takes a really beefy graphics card to be able to push close to 120fps in a game with this monitor's native resolution. You can always put resolution down to a normal 1080p box and to better utilize all 120Hz, but at that point you're now not gaming on a super ultrawide.

I ordered his during prime day. Received a returned item instead, labels were all peeled off except for my address. Inside, as suspected, was messy. Returned. Ordered another one a few weeks ago with the same price, just received it today, same deal!!!!

Just be aware, you will most likely or definitely will received an open box, instead of a brand new monitor.
