It warms and maintains the temp of the water bath to the exact temp you want your meat to be until the whole piece of meat can reach that temp.

Do you like your steak a little pink in the middle? How about the whole steak being cooked like that edge to edge? You can't really overcook things unless you leave them for hours longer than needed (then the proteins start breaking down). You can safely undercook things as well (pasteurization).

I use mine mostly for steak, thick pork chops, and chicken thighs. Perfectly cooked and juicy every time. Set it and forget it. I tend to buy food in bulk on sale then preseason and vacseal them in the right portions so I can throw it straight from the freezer into the water bath.

If you don't have a vacuum sealer plan on buying one. You can do it without but it's a hassle.

Don't bother with the strawberry filled croissants. Buy a jar of the Bonne Maman jam, a pack of regular croissants, and apply your own powdered sugar. The combo is infinitely superior and the jar of jam holds a ridiculous number of servings.

Very good. I make it in the instant pot and it's always a hit.

It's not just that though. For one you get a lot less. And two they're just terrible. It's fine if a jelly donut isn't spread throughout but in a croissant it makes a small amount of it decent with the jelly but then a huge portion of it is just a plain croissant. You would make a far superior version with little extra effort. Also then all your croissants are just for breakfast/sweet. You can't eat just a plain croissant with butter. Or use it for a sandwich. I agree the strawberry croissants were a huge miss for me.
I was just trying to explain why people get such things, not why they should or shouldn't. Never forget, there is a market for Huggie Blankets and sugar-free Gatorade.

We tried their veggie-based fake chicken patties recently and they were actually not bad. Tasted like...wait for it...chicken!

Damn, I bought the spring rolls last night full price. Do I need to bring it back for price adjustment?
Nope just go to the counter and they refund the difference.

It's ok. Like someone said, good quality meat but we stopped buying it because it's overly sweet due to the amount of marinade.

Explain to me how the Anova Sous Vide works like i'm a 5 year old

Very easy to use. Pot of water. The food needs to be in zip lock dealed bags or use a food sealer with those bags. The app on your phone helps control it and sets the timer for recipies. Check out youtube vids. Great for beef. Its veryslow cooking. Pot or container does not need to be on the stove. I love it. I use it.

Mind sharing your process? I've been grilling it and it makes a super mess (and I lose like 15% of it between the tines)

Strawberry filled croissants sounds disgusting. But also go to an actual bakery it will taste better and you'll be supporting a local business.

How good are the Klipsch ProMedia [costco.com] 2.1 THX Computer Speakers? Amazon [amazon.com] has good reviews.
Well worth it at $70 imo!

Royal Asia Vegetable Spring Rolls, With Soy Ginger Sauce, 48 oz, 50-count : Never buy this shit.. threw all of them in garbage last time we brought.
Pre-pandemic I tried a sample in the store and it tasted good. However, when I prepared it at home not so good.
