Purchased an echo dot 3rd gen recently and linked it to the Amazon account. When I am back to browsing the Amazon App ( iPhone), I see a targeted ad banner on the top a random product advertising about a Kasa Smart Plug Mini with Energy Monitoring, Smart Home Wi-Fi (KP115) (retail price $24.41) for $0.99 if I order through Alexa on the new Echo device using the prompt "Alexa,order a Kasa Smart Plug Mini".
There is a lot of fine print on the offer on who would qualify (new echo customers who order using their Echo device) as you can see in the attachment, however I would say this is strictly YMMV as I could not see this on any of my friend's amazon accounts who are prime members as well.
