I was asking if there would be any new features that would be worth the minor inconvenience, as it was not with Series 3. Oh and thanks for the advice, the existing band will fit perfectly if I double wrap it!
The big seller between 3-6 is ECG. If you don't need that probably nothing to really swing you here
I bought my gf the red watch for her birthday. When we picked it up a BB she went straight to the return line and they gave her the color she wanted as an even exchange.
It made an excellent gift. She loves it more and more all the time as she discovers what it can do.

There's a ton of spec improvements (64 bit, much faster, processor, more storage, Bluetooth 5.0 instead of 4.2, etc...
In terms of functional differences: Compass, Pulse ox monitor, EKG monitor, larger display, faster charging, and the U1 chip which potentially enables a bunch of functionality with other devices but it's in its infancy right now
I got my wife the Red 40mm in the Best Buy sale and we got a matte black watch skin from Slick Wraps for about $10. Looks awesome and can't even notice the original color from any reasonable distance. Shipping took a couple weeks to arrive, but worth the wait!
Does it hide the red dial on the side? I was gifted this watch and I'm debating keeping or exchanging. Not really a fan of the red though. (well that and I still need to decide what phone I'm upgrading to, apple or android but that's a whole different decision!)

Totally understandable! The skin covers everything except the thin outside/rim/edge of the dial (no way to put a skin there). We got the Matte Black one and I think it looks really nice. Prior to this, we tried one of the black cases from Amazon but it was bulky and didn't do that great of a job of hiding the red. The skin is a way better option IMO.

I just returned the Red 6 SE - 44mm, it was priced at $299 minus $30.
For $30 more I rather have the regular 6 in RED versus the SE 6 in Space Gray.
Used it for a couple of days and decided that I like the ability to use the watch v. pulling out the iphone all the time.
