This deal starts on August 4th.

This is not a touchscreen. None of the 17 inch grams are touchscreen. This laptop is ridiculously light. Seriously, it feels like a prop in a furniture store. I would have liked a Ryzen machine, but 11th gen Intel is not bad. There is a second slot for an additional M.2 storage.

I did that 1.5 years back for a last-gen Gram. If you order online, there is a form you can fill out where they will price adjust it. If you order in store, you will need to go to the store with receipt to get your money back. I believe my price adjustment included tax as well.

It's from the Costco flyer. They will have the 15.6 for 799.99.

Glossy, unfortunately. My only complaint against this laptop. I owned the 8th gen i7 version (8565u). Amazing laptop, but I wish it had a matte display. The reflections on the glossy screen got annoying both indoors in a well lit room and outdoors.

Been using the last gen of this laptop as my main computer for the last 8 months, one of the best laptops out there for sure, light, large screen + amazing battery life. It's Wifi and thunderbolt connectivity is much faster than my AX based gaming laptop for some reason.

Actually Intel is probably better processor for this type of laptop. It has a much better encode/decode video processor than Ryzen which would be useful for video editing or video playback which people who purchase 17" laptops often need them for.

While it's true that most 16" and larger laptops tend to be targeted at the "creator" market, the reality is that nobody is going to buy this for video editing. They'd want a discrete GPU, and even a low-end one will dramatically accelerate their workflow.

HMM, interesting. Not much bigger than the 15.6 legion SLIM 7 and lighter. Yes, I know the legion is a gaming machine, but still. Review. LG Gram 17 (2021) Review - So Much Better! - YouTube [youtube.com]

Legion= 14.02" x 9.92"x 0.7" 4.2 lbs
LG = 14.97" x 10.24" x 0.70" 2.98 lbs

This vs XPS 17 from Dell that you can on occasion get for the same price from outlet.
It's much heavier than this but has touchscreen.

Glossy, unfortunately. My only complaint against this laptop. I owned the 8th gen i7 version (8565u). Amazing laptop, but I wish it had a matte display. The reflections on the glossy screen got annoying both indoors in a well lit room and outdoors.

A matte screen protector from photodon fixed it for me. I love the laptop, but found it nigh unusable with the glossy display.
