Bought one of these on clearance at local grocery store.
With those bottles running ~$30 alone this seems like a nice price.

That said, this model is about as basic as it gets. You hold down a button to carbonate.
How hard? How long? Well....3-5 seconds per instructions.
Medium pressure ish seemingly. Because too hard and it spits water out (even with water filled to proper level).
So, definitely more room for user error than some of the higher up models that are teue one-touch/pick a level of bubble models.

Edit: seems like even the instructions vary slightly

I hold the button down for 10 seconds. It's supposed to handle up to 14. But it's not very fizzy, more like very lightly fizzy mineral water even with a 10 second hold

For the fizziest results, use cold water and do the following:
1. Push the bottle bottom slightly back to ensure a tight seal.
2. Five 3-5 second bursts. Stop just before the pressure relief "pops".
3. Keep bottle in unit for 20 - 30 seconds after last burst.
4. Immediately cap or pour.

I found out it gets a lot more fizzy after you add syrup

From what I understand, you can recycle the old bottles at Target for a $15 credit toward a new bottle.

Alternately, you can also use paintball cartridges with an adapter and refill those yourself...

The extra CO2 canister is a great add-on if you're interested in refilling with dry ice. We can only get dry ice in 3+ pound blocks, so it's nice to have the second canister so there's not so much going to waste.
