I'll second this ding on what Amazon has allowed 3rd parties to perpetrate with the Use/S&D label as of late via Amazon Warehouse and woot!. When I buy the woot! versions I have consistently had to buy 2 or 3 to ensure I could pick among phones that had critically bad problems which could never have passed even a reasonable grading system.

An S7 whose home button pops out when turned over? A Pixel for which half the screen had started to pop out of the phone frame... because the battery was starting to bloat? Yeah, all of these were Scratch and Dent rather than Unusable by Anyone Other Than a Phone Repair Shop.

Good luck!

WOW....Mint Mobil's web site:

No phone number to call them.
No email address to email them.
No live chat service to chat with them.

Seems like customer service is not in their vocabulary.
From Mint's Customer Service via chat:

"09:22
All our Androids devices are unlocked if you paid them full."

And

"09:27
When the phone is new it does not have the boot loader locked."

Enjoy fellow SDers 😊

i'm considering this phone; at $99 it doesn't seem like you can get much better value for your money... since this is unlocked, i can just buy the phone and start using it immediately with cricket wireless i assume? anyone have any experience with this phone on cricket's network?
Im using mine on Cricket now (Unlimited + 15 GB Mobile Hotspot). Its hard to believe the performance increase and superior user experience over the moto g power it replaced. I did lose wi-fi calling but never used it anyway. wi-fi hotspot and tethering work and so does visual voice mail. Just make sure your Cricket sim is the newer version or it can limit download speeds on newer phones... not sure why.

Thank you for the response. I have an iPhone se 2020 right now from the January $99 cricket deal and it's a great phone for the money. Would I be getting any noticeable performance increase from the pixel?

The iPhone SE 2020 model is a higher performance phone with modern A13 Bionic CPU.
The Pixel 2XL is definitely a slower phone.

Are you considering changing (why?) or just adding Android as a backup phone?

one of the apps i use for business does not work the same on ios as it does on android. it functions slightly better on android so that's why i was looking toward switching to the pixel.

Also, the 4GB 12 month plan w/ phone comes out to $229 + tax
That's a fairly slick deal if you ask me... Spending less than $250 for both a phone and an entire year of service...

I understand. I'm an IT guy and ever since Apple removed the access to lower level networking API's, I can't get the same quality of networking tools on iPhone as Android, hence I always have an Android (or three) backups. Smilie

not only that but i just found out this 2xl is actually ip67 waterproof. 30 min under 30ft of water? incredible. gotta try it this weekend.

anyway. accubattery just reported that my battery was from 100% to 98% for charging health now. not sure what it means. just charged it like 5 times since bought.

Regardless of IP ratings and impact resistance, I wouldn't allow any phone to get wet or dropped if it can be avoided. Enjoy your new pixel.

i wouldnt. have thought about it but after seeing some stupid youtube clips with broken speaker or screen color, i now know its only for splash water resistance. getting wet or accidentally drop under water is fine. but i wouldnt go further than that.

my phones batterys life is dying though. not 100% anymore. only after 5+ fully charges.

it's best to keep the battery between 20-80% for battery health. lithium ion batteries are preserved longer when you keep the charge in that range. if you leave it fully charged or fully depleted for an extended amount of time, it will damage the battery

Anyone who bought this faced any hardware issues requiring warranty? How did it work?

I didn't use mine since booting it up to check on arrival. Finally started using this 2 weeks ago and the microphone stopped working - can't make any calls with this. On googling, this seems like quite a common Pixel hardware issue.

It's been close to 11 months since I ordered this. Mint states warranty of 1 year for new phones and 60 days for refurbished ones. Now, since this is 'Listed' as a new one, did anyone have luck claiming warranty for 1 year?

Thanks.
