Amazon has reinstated the opportunity for enrolled customers to receive a 40% discount, up to $40, on items sold by and shipped by Amazon in exchange for the forfeiture of 1 point.
The offer is scheduled to expire effective October 31, 2021 or in the event of 16,250 redemptions prior to the October 31, 2021 expiration date.
Interested customers will need to initially enroll their Amex card, which earns points such as the Green, Gold, or Platinum cards, through the link below and wait a period of 24-72 hours prior to attempting to activate the promotion.

I didn't have anything specific in mind, so got the Lowe's gift card. Was also able to apply some Amazon credit to the purchase. Double win.
Not too surprised though as I already used quite a few such deals during the Prime Day sale.
But maybe I should hold out for more under the notion that each cardholder can redeem only so many Amazon offers per year.
