I got corded because many battery operated ones are initially quite cheap, but (inevitable) replacement batteries cost quite much. Corded should just last. There's really not much that can break on a corded lawn mower.

I understand why you'd want battery operated, but I'd rather not deal with empty batteries half way through or other stuff. (My lot isn't so big, either, if you're on an acre or more, you want a gas self-propelled or a riding mower.)

How long does a $75 100' 12 gauge extension cord last? No chance in accidentally running it over with the lawn mower? Do you still used a corded telephone at home?

Extension cord last a long time and you can use it on other stuff. Chance of running it over by the lawn mower 0% if you pay attention. Color of the cord is very noticeable on an lawn. Corded telephone at home? No.

Just came here to say that I have one of these for my tiny row home lawn and it's perfect. Easy to store in the basement, and it's very lightweight. It feels more like operating a vacuum cleaner than mower, and it sounds more like one too. The cord isn't an issue due to the light weight, mower in one hand and cord in the other, like you're vacuuming a rug.

It's Certified Pre-Owned (should probably be noted in the post title).

I love corded for it's cheap price and no need for the constant recharge of that dam battery.

But I would go farther by just buying gas powered mower. It's cordless and minutes to refill instead of hours.

Gas is digusting. Gives you cancer.

Corded is the best compromise. Super powerful. Mows through anything. Can mow for hours and hours. Never have to worry about finishing before battery runs out. You can daisy chain some cheap 16 gauge cords. You'll get less power but still good enough for virtually any lawn.

Get 2 batteries--charge one while you used the other, and 13" is tiny -- go ahead and make your jokes. If you're used to a 18-20" mower , this will take nearly twice as many passes.

This is great for a very small lawn. We have a medium lawn. It was annoying with the cord but I still would have kept it if it didn't have clogging issues. If you have a very small lawn and mow often enough to keep it from getting too high this is a great deal. Here in FL it can rain for a week so you can't mow the lawn until it's too thick for this mower to handle.
