Children of Morta sets its story in a distant land but copes with themes closer to our daily lives that one would expect. It is a story of simple emotions we all know so well and value more than sometimes we dare to admit: love and hope, longing and uncertainty, ultimately loss and sacrifice we are willing to make to save the ones we care the most for. Embark on the adventure of an extraordinary family of heroes. With the Corruption spreading through the land, guardians of the Mountain Morta have to stand up against the ancient evil. But... it's not a story about saving the universe. It's a story about a valiant family standing together while the world around them is being devoured by darkness.

I enjoyed the game on Xbox. I didn't think I would. Played it because of a XBL Gold Rewards Challenge. Found myself going back and playing it for well over 30 hours.
If you like Dungeon Crawler type of games then yes you'll enjoy this one. Granted the zombie enemy sound is ripped straight from Minecraft. Honestly found that aspect to be extremely annoying.

It's pixel art. That's not good graphics. Clean, but still leaves it wanting in some aspects.
Fun couch co-op though!

Personally, I thought it was worth it. I am not a huge roguelike fan, but this is one that stood out for me (along with Dead Cells & Hades). I would say that if you enjoy that genre or if you enjoyed games like Gauntlet at the arcade back in the day, then it is well worth a play. I didn't get a chance to try coop as my kids are too young for it at the moment, but I could totally see it being an awesome couch coop game.
