Looks like a ton of shady vendors got booted off of Amazon and are now selling their wares directly.

These belts look and probably are pieces of crap. I've searched far and wide for GOOD belts and even the pricey ones from department stores are pure shit. Good lord how does one screw up making a belt? Must be the same folks that developed the "New" gas cans lol. Its literally a strip of cowhide with a buckle on one end. Either the buckle or the so called leather is garbage or both. I actually found a good belt brand I can wholeheartedly recommend. HANKS BELTS (Google that shit) is absolutely worth the roughly $70 bucks for one. They guarantee it for 100 years. I'am a big boy and I can certify its big boy approved. Let the retailers choke on this cheap Chinese BS, unless you like buying garbage and supporting China...
P.S., No, I don't work for Hank's Belts, Slickdeals, or any other affiliates of ANY other competitors or other companies. I'am strictly a comsumer who's tired of buying jacked up BS from third world countries and getting absolutely NOTHING to show from it. Rant over.... Go NOW, and get you a GOOD quality belt. hug
I have never in my life seen a belt as solid as the one I got from Hank's.

The company is out of China. If you want a cheap belt go for it. If you want quality buy local/US and pay a bit more.
China sells full grain leather stuff too. But if you want to pay low prices, then you get what you pay for.

Just tried the SD12 code to see if it works and it's not working. Anyone else try after 6AM EST?

Also, given their odd belt sizing, you may want to review their return policy... it's fairly horrible.

You have to return the item back to China (at your expense) if you want a refund... within 7 days... and they deduct $5 per pair of shoes for a "processing fee" (no mention of processing fees for belts, but good chance they'll charge you one).

So, basically, they have no reasonable return policy. Just FYI if you're ordering something like 5 belts trying to get the free shipping and they all end up not fitting...

Go take a look around your house and I can guarantee that 70-80% of your crap is made in China lol It's just a matter of fact. You drive a GM or Ford, well guess what? Most of the parts are sourced from guess where? Hahaha

Hey, this is a question for The-Press-Box and SD Staff, in general... I was actually interested in possibly buying one of these belts. That said, the discount on this deal ("SD20") was a fairly significant discount and this deal went Popular with that code.

The code was supposed to last until August 15th! First posts on this deal were just yesterday and the deal went down more than half a month early! This is a mostly unknown Chinese vendor, as well. Soooo... was SD actually taken advantage/duped here? This company ended up getting a lot of promotion and a lot of website hits due to the SD Popular post, but then takes down the deal more than half a month early. Does anyone believe they ran out of belt leather???

Just wondering. Oh, and one other thing - this company has a horrible return policy as well. Just a recommendation - on these deals based out of China, SD Staff and the OP might want to cite the return policy, because I don't see anyone here paying shipping charge back to China to return one or even a bunch of these belts.

Successful American and other non-chinese companies operating out of China have agents in China to maintain quality control.

For the most part the Chinese are unwilling to produce quality items on their own without external oversight, which is why genuine manufacturer parts and non-Chinese brands are much better quality than generic Chinese even if they came out of the same Chinese factory.
