Looks like blink camera packages are on sale everywhere. Home depot/best buy has 3 pack outdoor for 149$, so about 50$/ea. The indoor (wired) is 20$.

Solid Deal, was gonna buy the 2 pack outdoor from bestbuy for $105 but this adds an indoor (and the sign) for only $15 more, indoor cam is worth $45 on its own

I have a mix of blink gen 1 and XT2 cameras. Battery life will run for a while if you have the cameras on lowest settings. I have a solar panel connected to each camera, each panel has 2 rechargeable batteries so I don't worry about battery draining.

Camera's are good if setup correctly. I have them running on highest settings.

Pro's
-Cheap security system with very good picture quality.

-App works fine, could need some improvements.

-Support is very good and responsive.

-I have the free cloud storage since I bough the a while back.

Cons

-Batteries will drain fast om high settings. To take full advantage, you need a solar panel or some sort of external power source, unless you have the camera pointing to an area where there is not a lot of motion.

- Hit or miss on some alerts. You would trigger motion but the camera isn't responsive.

-You can't upgrade the firmware manually.

-you can't rebootbthr camera remotely. You will have to unplug the batter to reset it. So it might become annoying if you have the camera mounted somewhere high.

- Sync module coverage is decent. I have a 2300 sqf hone and I don't get the 3 bars connection on all cameras. You have to position the sync module in the middle.

-only sync module 2 supports local storage (USB/External/etc)

I hope this helps.

I have a ring doorbell but was thinking of getting another outdoor camera for front & back. I've read some pretty bad reviews about the night time performance on these. Can anyone comment on the night performance?

I actually need indoor cams to watch the baby. Any inputs on why I can't use these outdoor cams indoors?

So as a user of both systems, I wish I went all ring as I have the ring doorbell already. The Blink app is clearly inferior in every way. It feels like it is a repurposed app from another function, it feels that odd. The ring cameras seem to have the same image quality, only difference is everything ring is 2x the cost. Kicking myself I didn't grab those refurbished ring outdoor stick up cameras a few days ago for $59...

I have a wired 3MP QCAM NVR POE system which works decent, image quality is good, alerts at night not so good.
I understand these blink are wireless so very convenient. Do you think overall the quality of these are better than what I have? I have been thinking of transitioning to wireless if the tech has improved in the last 1-2 years. Also, would hate to pay a subscription to store my videos for few days.

The Mini is garbage!!! Plenty of bad reviews issues. I sent mine back with in the 30 day window hoping for a firmware upgrade to fix it. Works for an hour then loses it's connection, power reboot works for and hour and stops!!!

This is what I have and they've been running solid for the past 2 years. They come with one rechargeable battery and you can install a second one.
