I picked up a few of this style a while back Monitor stand [amazon.com] and have been fairly happy about them. I got a 2 pack somewhere for about $20 and just recently picked up a single for ~$12. Yes they are twice as expensive as this deal but the 4 leg design makes them much more sturdy and able to hold heavier loads. I am using 2 for my work monitors (22" dells) and my wife has one her machine for a 24" monitor. They wouldn't have a problem with bigger/heavier monitors.

This appears to be the same product but a few bucks cheaper ($11.99- 20% coupon =~$9.60). I haven't actually used it and I have no affiliation with the seller, just happened to see it while browsing.

They seem to work great for anything under 25lbs or so.
I do agree that for a heavier monitor they will tilt forward a little due to the weight.
But then I just tilt the monitor stand back to compensate.
In for one more. Thanks!
