Edit: feck. Just the Steam version atm.
There is a gruesome scene in the beginning of the game involving an beloved animal (Hint: it has 4 legs and a tail, likes to play fetch). So you might want to skip this game if you don't want to see it. I still remember that cutscene vividly to this day 😭. But as much as that stuff bothers me, I still recommend playing the game because it's pretty good imo.
I've been plowing through it for some time and am determined to complete it, but it's become a bit of a chore TBH.

The game's strength is definitely the story over the game play so if the story isn't good enough for you thus far, you might want to give up on it but on the other hand, it isn't too long of a game so you might also want to just power through it. I think it took me like 10 hours to beat?
IMO it's a good game, not great. There were some frustrating things about it where there's a few points where it felt like the writers got lazy with story telling and the final boss isn't difficult in reality but the first stage of the fight is this semi-confusing "what am I supposed to do?" If you want to avoid the confusion I had there's just 3 things to remember for the first stage:
1. Goal is to move forward, not attack the boss.
2. Black rats won't hurt you, white rats will.
3. Black rats don't like fire, white rats are NOT afraid of fire.
