I was inclined to buy intel, but when I checked the CPU comparison between this and the Ryzen 5 5500 I was surprised by how much faster the Ryzen was.

Just FYI Ryzen laptops clock down substantially when running on battery. If you expect to run on battery a lot, Intel is the better option.

I don't see a 14" Ryzen for the same price with 16gb of ram and 512gb ssd. Let me know if anyone has seen one otherwise I may go with this for back to school.

Ryzen one is even better as it's a 2-in-1. Got one few days back, working well so far.

IMHO, I'd pay $50 more for the Best Buy Yoga 7i over this deal.

Biggest differences, from a quick read:
  • This laptop has a 56 WHr battery in 3.04 lbs. That laptop has a 71 WHr battery for 3.07 lbs. It's a significantly higher-end laptop, IMHO.
  • This laptop only has type-C. That laptop has Thunderbolt 4.
  • This laptop as 16 GB of RAM, while that laptop has 12 GB.
I'd gladly take the 12 GB for the much larger battery and TB4.
