If you want a smaller form factor, go with this, otherwise, I'd spend a little more [$15] on the following, since it is much faster!

$150 SAMSUNG T7 Portable SSD 1TB - Read/write speeds of up to 1,050/1,000 MB USB 3.2 External Solid State Drive, Gray (MU-PC1T0T/AM)

+1 . If you don't need the small flash drive form factor, an external SSD, or even a 1TB 2.5" SSD with enclosure would destroy this in terms of speed, reliability, and lifespan.

I wonder if my Pioneer DEH-80PRS in dash car stereo would recognize this?

I actually had an extra 1tb nvme drive after an upgrade and bought a usb-c 3.1 gen2 (10Gbps) external enclosure for it for around $20. Works great and is very fast. I use it to watch movies on my nvidia shield.
