Note that if you are ordering any of these household items, the price offered to you for any item depends on which store you have selected as your default store (regardless of where you pick it up or have it shipped). There can be as much as 30% difference.

The way to get around it is to always have one of their "cheaper" stores as the default, add to the cart and then in the cart change the pickup to the store you want to use (don't add any more to the cart after that or your prices will jump). I have to do this since the store closest to me that I want to pick up from always has the highest prices on any item. If I have that as the default adding the item at the higher price, using the cheaper price store for pick up will still charge me the higher price!

For illustration see attached pictures for what happens to one of the included items in this deal when I just change the default store.

I had to do a chat w/cust svc rep. Rep wanted my e-mail address and cart #. Cart # appears just below red/white checkout button. He fixed it so promo was attached to my cart, and then the $15 GC showed up as line item in cart.

For other "get a gift card with $xx purchase" deals I was prompted to scan a gift card like I was purchasing or adding money to it, and the amount was added on to it automatically. So have a gift card handy or just grab one off the shelf.

Yes, the clerk will pull out a blank GC from their drawer, scan it to activate the $15, and hand it to you.

When I checked out on this offer, the charge was $37.61 -- Target took the gift card off the purchase like was described in the SD post.

However, when I got my Red card billing statement, there was a charge for $37.61 and a charge for $15. They charged back the gift card. But I did find that I have a $15 virtual gift card.

Confusing at first, but in the end I am whole.
