The way to get around it is to always have one of their "cheaper" stores as the default, add to the cart and then in the cart change the pickup to the store you want to use (don't add any more to the cart after that or your prices will jump). I have to do this since the store closest to me that I want to pick up from always has the highest prices on any item. If I have that as the default adding the item at the higher price, using the cheaper price store for pick up will still charge me the higher price!
For illustration see attached pictures for what happens to one of the included items in this deal when I just change the default store.

However, when I got my Red card billing statement, there was a charge for $37.61 and a charge for $15. They charged back the gift card. But I did find that I have a $15 virtual gift card.
Confusing at first, but in the end I am whole.
