Just an FYI - AQ Textiles was sued recently for misrepresenting the thread count of their sheets.

High thread counts doesn't necessarily = high quality sheets. And many companies misrepresent or lie about their thread counts anyways.

Bought these in February and have been very happy with them. Have washed weekly and no pilling or shedding, they have a nice light texture to them. Picked up another set for backup this week too. They were a little thick/stiff to start with but softened up after a few washes.

There are more fake high thread count (like this '800') sheets on the market then real thread counts.

I'm pretty darn sure these are not real 800 threads. The question is are they still good high thread sheets even if the '800' isn't accurate.

I do not know. I bought 2 sets though to test one and find out.

Wish I knew how to tell before I buy.

I've bought a couple of these sets and the problem is that they are very much on the thin side; not what you would expect from a thread count that high.
