This is not true

These are actually built with a lot more quality than the price and what some hobbyist suggest

As an actual mechanic, these are a step below expensive bags.

Obviously you have to handle with more care and not throw it around full of saws, but other than that it'll last you awhile.

I'm guessing this guy abuses most of his possessions

Well the good thing is...that as they rip and tear (my Craftsman tool bags only seem to last a year or two of medium usage)...you can not feel bad moving all your tools to a new one and throwing away the ripped/torn one.

The good thing is that these tool bags are often on sale for cheap prices.
They're also great for having some ready emergency tools in one location for storage in a trunk or under a seat, sink, etc...
The bad thing...is they won't last long (year or two) with 10-20lbs of tools in them if you use the bag often bringing tools from location to location & get used often (weekends, etc...).

This is not a thread-crap post...just real-world experience from someone who has thrown a few of these away (and has a LOT more in storage from past Sears deals on these - I miss those days!)

The mesh is definitely the downfall for these. In practice they get used more for the family craft supplies. Just as Craftsman intended, I presume 😏

Seems very YMMV, possibly because ACE is a franchise and not all owners are participating.

$3.99 in the Twin Cities though.
