They should start switching to at least a thunderbolt 3 now. I think Gen 1 USB C doesn't cut it anymore

There were USB 2.0 ports on laptops as recent as last year, so yeah that's probably gonna take a while.

Also Intel holds TB3. AMD Processors don't have access to TB tech.

That used to be the case before 2019. Intel handed the Thunderbolt patenting to USB consortium and now it's open to all. How do you think M1 chip in MacBook supports Thunderbolt? USB 4.0 spec is based Thunderbolt 3 and there are some desktop AMD Motherboard with Thunderbolt 3.
For supporting Thunderbolt protocol, the CPU needs to imement certain memory protection security policies which were defined by Intel. Although AMD has something equivalent, they haven't integrated those yet directly in the CPU die

Is the charging module for 110-220V, or just for 110?
I could not find the info. Nor could I find the user manual anywhere on the net.

I mean, then there's also the 250 nit 45% NTSC... that's not a great panel even for the sub-$1000 price point. That's what I would expect from a $600 or $700 entry level gaming laptop. They probably felt like they had to have an 8-core Ryzen 7 CPU in order to be competitive - a lot of people who don't know any better are going to fixate on that core count. Realistically this laptop would have been a lot better if they put in a better display, an RTX 3060 and went down to a 5600H instead. 5600H is still amazing for games and everyday use. It's like people forget that 8 core laptops weren't even really a thing until last year. Previously the top end performance laptops were the 6-core Intel i7's.

Lies. My ROG B550-e (which is AMD AM4) has a thunderbolt header.

Under your logic it shouldn't have the intel wifi antenna either

I'm thinking of purchasing this as my first gaming laptop. Is this really worth it for its price?

I am very sceptical of HP laptops. I had their business grade ones and left lots to be desired quality and reliably wise. We used to call them "Horrible Product". But I rather see somebody who actually owns their gaming rigs chime in

I do not see an expiration rate on the HP webpage.
Anyone knows what it is?

The type of people who buy laptops don't want to lug around GPU enclosures. People need to stop acting like having thunderbolt is what makes or breaks a laptop. Ya'll sound like those people who kicked and screamed when PS/2 stopped being put on motherboards claiming USB polling makes their gaming performance slower.
