Good idea, but the ingredients arent great. If they could clean up the ingredients to be healthier, id definitely buy them to try (for my dog..). Also like that they moved production out of China to Vietnam.

Too many horror stories about non-domestic pet products. Maybe not worth the savings.

I've seen plenty of great SD deals on dog treats made with high quality and healthy ingredients. I don't think there's anything wrong with a comment discussing concerning ingredients lists. No price threshold on any product (dog treat, toilet paper, or otherwise) ought to invalidate discussion of quality. I didn't interpret it as a complaint.

And the mention of moving production from China to Vietnam is factual, relevant, and ought to be a matter of interest to buyers.

Yes, you are right - it is indeed a 6-count of doggie bones. I used the verbiage "6 pack" from the Chewy product page. I appreciate your helpful comment. Smilie

Then don't buy $3 dog treats, there's always people btching about ingredients every time a pet food product is posted.. it's annoying like comparing toilet paper deals to Costco

The Amazon product listing specifies they're made in Vietnam.
And the back of the product package specifies "made in Vietnam."

My dogs love these. However there is a strong correlation between eating one of these bones and explosive diarrhea. Never fails. Took us a while to figure out what was causing it but then once you nailed it you know what it is.

Thanks for the article, very informative. I wish the would list the names of all the brands that were part of all those cases and complaints. I will be adding Pet food to the list of Chinese products to try to stay away from..

Vietnam isn't going to be much better than China. There is very little national oversight of food safety standards for food meant for human consumption in China or Vietnam, let alone any safety standards and oversight of food meant for pets.

It's simply not worth the risk, IMO.
