Latter. Imagine have a good time at beautiful pools and an upscale restaurants without small children running around. Not saying there shouldn't be nice places for kids, but there should also be nice places for those that don't want to be around them.

Food here isn't great unless you stay at the attached Ocean Point, which are nicer rooms and adds an upscale-ish restaurant (we had EVERY meal there, the menu changes daily). It's adults only.

Ok property (I toured it and passed), but not on the beach. We really like the Atrium Beach Hotel.

In NJ, the kids are off from school that Thurs/Fri/Mon. I assume it's a high demand (high income) weekend.

Also I think early-Nov is the end of hurricane season so high-demand.

Additional hotel specific charges: 6% tax and 15% resort fee is not included and will be paid directly to the hotel. The resort fee covers the utility surcharge and service charge.

All-inclusive sounds great, but the lines are long and I've heard a lot of complaints about the quality. There was no hot water for a bit.

However, this is a good price. There are plenty of places to eat on the island if you rent a car.
Fantastic places to eat, especially on the French side. As much as I like all-inclusive, this is one place where it's a bit of a waste because of what you'll miss out on.

Has the island recovered from the last hurricane? I was going to go in 2019 but the resort was wiped off the map.

We went in 2019 and it was great. Shops, restaurants, etc. were all open. We stayed at the Atrium Hotel and it suffered no damage (Dutch engineering).

If you want to see the island, contact Seagrape Tours for the best look at all the hidden gems of St Maarten. Avoid the other tours pushed by hotels as they are a complete waste of time and money. With Seagrape, the group is 6 people or less and you choose the tour that fits. Can't wait to go back. https://seagrapetours.com/

Imagine rolling out of bed an hour before the flight back and then walking to the airport. It reminds me of Eilat.

Is there anyone who can explain about the plants, geology, all the science stuff? I want to know about the plants and animals. Island biodiversity is amazing!

Thanks for posting this valuable, secret info. I've noticed OP posts many of these deals and doesn't disclose these additionals..
