I got this vacuum when the last deal was posted. It's a good vacuum but if you have a lot of carpet you might find yourself running low on battery power really quickly since you'll want to use the higher - highest setting for that. On hardwood floors, the lowest setting with the fluffy roller is more than adequate which can get you around 30 minutes per battery.

The main negative of this vacuum are the tiny wheels on the fluffy head attachment. It will get tangled in hair pretty quickly and will not roll. There is no way to take them off and in the manual it says to use tweezers which is a pain. I suggest cleaning them frequently - even after every use to make it easier to clean. Yes the dust/dirt canister is tiny, but if you use it often just to pick up dust particles and small debris you should be fine. Emptying it is easy. Last thing I would suggest is to rotate your batteries especially if you don't use more than one per cleaning. This will make sure they get used evenly and you don't neglect one where it can degrade just sitting around.

Correct. Exactly as I described in the OP.

I did get a 10% off refurbs last week when it was $240. So $216.
Others got 20% off, but even then the price would be like $192.
Guessing it was $240 before coupon, not $230.
Where is this listed? I know SD search isn't the best, but the only term I put in was LG CordZero but I don't see anything about that...

Thanks. I see a few were targeted with that within the $239.99 thread. No official thread for that targeted coupon deal. Editing my earlier notes.

I bought a brand new one from Costco for $300 earlier this year . Wonder if it's worth returning to get this for the hardwood attachment plus the extra battery ..
I can say having the extra battery is a fantastic benefit, which to me edged ahead of earlier dyson vacs. Doubling the cleaning times was huge, attachments are great too. The real advantage to sticking with your Costco purchase is the 10 year warranty that comes with a new purchase. It's really a personal decision; what's the value of the warranty to you vs. the extra battery w/ attachments.

I have a Meile for my primary vacuum but I'm looking for something that's a handheld battery powered vacuum for cleaning up little messes my kids make. Is this overkill?

Seems expensive for our needs but we want something that will last.

How does this do with dog hair? I have a dog that sheds like crazy and I've been looking for a cordless vacuum for the hair cleanup. I have hardwood and laminate where I'm mainly concerned. Minimal carpet use.

Bought one last time it was FP. Battery life on one of the batteries is about 3 minutes. Wonder if that is covered by the warranty?

Edited. Yes a few got one while they were shopping for the deal for $239.99. No one stepped up and posted a thread for that, probably very YYMV, but I would have liked to know.
I got the vacuum from the last deal, one of the batteries is faulty, AND the stand does not charge the other good battery at all. I have been messaging the seller in the last couple of days, and will post when we figure something out. But the quality of this refurb is definitely YMMV.

The seller is bad. I ordered last time they released on ebay. They insisted that they shipped the item by giving me a tracking number. Tracking number said UPS label created and that's it. Fortunately eBay got me a refund.

shrug personal preference. i like lg better. comes with 2 easy swap batteries and lasts quite a bit longer. "always on" button instead of needing to hold trigger. better mounting/docking station. color is more neutral. battery indicator. i could go on but you get the idea
