This is 1080p only and no 4K.

Damn... all OOS in 20166

Disregarding the bluray functionality, this is basically a WebOS streaming device with the added benefit of having wired connectivity. The 1080p limitation makes it perfect for an older guest room TV. LG's WebOS is quite polished compared to most built-in smart TV OS, and for $15 this is a no-brainer if there's any in stock...

Is there a way to add 3rd party apps or play videos files from USB stick so I don't need to run my rpi all the time with plex server?

That was my first thought also. "Isnt this the BluRay player I got for $15 in 2019?".

Exactly! I found a Roku stick for around $20 used on FB Marketplace. This Blu-Ray player is outdated and doesn't even receive updates. It's a waste of $15.
So how exactly do you insert your Blu Ray movies into your Roku Stick?? Wait you don't own any BR movies?? Well I guess this deal isn't for you then!

That's the same one. Its not a deal, the SKU still exists in Walmart's database and some one just posted it without research. The ones now available are BMP35. PS: my sincere comment in for down votes.

Been using Slickdeals since the 00's. The Walmart YMMV have never once been available within 100s of miles of me. I get the feeling some members are employees who discount junk they want and then post it 😂 seriously, none of this crap is ever a Slickdeal.
