Based on Tomshardware review, it seems that this one is the least efficient and runs hotter than both the SN850 and 980 Pro. For the tight space of the PS5's SSD compartment, I would lean towards those 2 options, before the Sabrent. Although, I'm sure with a heat sink, I'm sure it will be ok. But I also recall Sabrent making some changes in the past to their chipset for the non-plus SSD I think, that caused a decrease in performance. So, I lost a little trust in their product/brand.

This looks like a decent price for the speed. The OG Rocket 4 got down to about $150 with rebates.

I picked up the WD 850 a while ago. Didn't think I was going to be impressed, but compared to the 750 it replaced it was a big upgrade in responsiveness. The point is most people focus on raw throughput, but most of the 4.0 drives are so stupid fast I doubt many would notice. However the quicker responsiveness for me anyway was noticeable and made for a worthy upgrade. The Rocket 4 on Tom's review gets docked for not being as responsive as the WD/Sammy. For the price difference that may be worth it for some people.

Not sure I want to risk a big purchase with a 3rd party seller.

Can anyone else confirm that this is good for PlayStation 5? I know that we definitely will need the heatsink. I am not sure if I should buy now or wait for the official update. Thanks!

The read/write is what is going to tell you if you can use this. It looks like it is the same as the WD SN850…

I wish the 980 pro 2tb would go back down to that price. I have a 1tb I haven't opened yet and would maybe rather have 2tb.

This is technically faster in most benchmark.

I don't trust the brand as much, even though it makes no sense to trust samsung either, but I guess because they are such a huge company I figure it will be easier to get something done if they screw something up. IO don't recall this oebeing faster, though. I remember some other one was/is.
